“Under-the-Hood” CDL Waiver for Transit Bus Operators

To help address bus driver shortages, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issues a CDL “under-the-hood” testing exemption for drivers. APTA offers several resources to help transit agencies understand the impacts of the waiver and the process for states to adopt it.
