TWC Launches the Transit Career Explorer!

TWC is excited to introduce its newest tool, the Transit Career Explorer page, now live on the TWC website! The Transit Career Explorer provides information and resources to amplify and support the transit industry’s ongoing outreach and recruitment efforts for frontline workers, while supporting job seekers’ exploration of what transit careers can offer. 

This resource serves as an additional component of TWC’s National Frontline Transit Worker Recruitment Campaign, building on the Recruitment Toolkit developed in 2022. 
The Transit Career Explorer’s four sub-sections highlight the following key areas, providing insight into rewarding career opportunities in transit. 

• Working in Transit outlines the benefits of a transit career, including videos of frontline transit workers describing their experiences working in the industry. 
• Career Pathway Opportunities allows users to see the range of positions and various ways transit operators and technicians can advance in their organizations. 
• Wages, Benefits & Hiring Info provides national data on jobs, wages, education, and training requirements, as well as local transit agency data and sample local ads with position requirements. 
• Locating Career Opportunities identifies a range of suggested methods and databases to find transit positions in communities where users live or would like to live and work.
